Ben gave me the opportunity to go out fishing at Tairua. When I turned up, it appeared he had taken the bottom off a wheelbarrow and put it on a trailer. We went for a blat around the estuary but due to the iddy biddy 12v trolling motor, we decided not to cross the bar. Was a total hoot!
Sunday morning was gloomy in Christchurch so I grabbed the family and took them to Akaroa for a break and a fish. I was really proud of Jackson as he caught his first fish solo.
He dropped the line, hooked the fish and reeled it in himself. What a rush! Time for the big fish now! I’m feeling the need to take the boat out for a proper fish somewhere!
Why is it that when I get a lovely photo of Sarah Olivia has to poke her tongue out to spoil the shot…
We had a good spell in the weather so I took Graham Evans up to Lake Coleridge for the day. We saw fish on the finder but couldn’t get them to hook up. Was like glass on the water all day though – love it when it’s like that…
I took Sarah and Jack to the Hurunui river for a nice family day out. We all did some fishing, Jack had a swim and it was a great day. Sarah also got a chance to try her new pink fishing rod.
The ‘boys’ took a fishing trip to the Great Barrier Island for Ben’s birthday. Was a great trip and relaxing time with the mates… Great weather, fish to eat and good company. This is Gavin’s dad’s boat.
