Sarah was out doing horsey things today so I took the kids out for some fun. First we went to Orana Park and checked out all the animals. Then I took them down to the Waimak mouth and let the kids play on the beach. They totally loved it.
Jack’s such a good boy. Olivia wandered off so he went and got her. Walked all the way back holding her hand.
Jack throwing stones and Olivia wondering what all the fuss is.
After a nice bacon and egg breakfast for Mothers Day and a treasure hunt from Jackson, we took to the hills for the afternoon. The lot of us went to Arthurs Pass for lunch and then played at the upper Waimak and Lake Pearson on the way back.
We also went for a wee hike up Castle Hill and played around the boulders. The kids loved it.
We had a lovely day – it’s great having family time!
We visited Ben and Rose and the kids. ben showed us his pet bird which sat on his shoulder like a pirate over lunch. It’s pretty cool. Here’s Jackson holding the wee fella… Was fantastic to catch up with the family.
We drove down to the Dobbs in Hamilton to have a catch up and see the new addition. Pete took the boys to the tramp and gave them some leaf blowers to play with. How cool was that!
We all went to Auckland for Gran and Poppa’s 60th Wedding Anniversary the other day and had agreat time. They are the coolest couple and so much in love with each other!
Rich and Aimee had a great idea yesterday. They wanted to build a tower for Nim to stand in while in the kitchen. These make it easy to get jobs done and lets the kids be a part of things on the bench.
I drove to Mitre10 this morn, got some bits and Rich /I knocked up two of these in four hours! cool eh!
I took Jack to Auckland to see the ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ show and visit his cousin Zach. Awesome stage show and amazing effects! Here’s some pics from the trip.
Here’s Jack reading a book to Zach.
Typical breakfast at Simon’s place!
Nutty kids!
Got the lad a haircut for School on Monday.
Two good kids getting ready for the show!
Wasn’t allowed to film, but it was a pretty spectacular event!
